If you choose our special day cruises and want to spend New Year’s Eve with Sydney Catamaran Cruises, we’ll depart at approximately 3:00pm on New Year’s Eve to secure the best possible anchorage and return to shore at approximately 1:00am.
It's necessary to take up the anchorage at this time as the harbour fills with boats and the bays with the prime viewing positions close to the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The Opera House also fills with boats and then NSW Maritime close the bays off, meaning we’ll have to anchor further and further away from the Harbour Bridge.
